We provide individual reflective practice sessions for healthcare practitioners - delivered by a Chartered Health Psychologist with extensive clinical experience, and designed to create a confidential, one-to-one space for meaningful professional reflection.
What are reflective practice sessions?
Reflective practice sessions offer a dedicated, facilitated space for healthcare practitioners to step back from the demands of their work and think more deeply about their clinical practice - exploring real experiences, considering what's working and what isn't, and identifying ways to work more effectively with the people they support.
Why reflective practice matters
The pace of healthcare work rarely allows time to pause and think. Yet reflection is one of the most powerful tools available for improving practice, supporting wellbeing, and developing professionally.
Regular individual reflective practice sessions can help you to:
• Strengthen your clinical practice and develop greater confidence
• Improve the quality of care and outcomes for your patients
• Navigate complex and challenging clinical situations more effectively
• Support your own wellbeing and manage the emotional demands of your role
• Identify your own training and development needs
• Think more deeply about specific cases, challenges, or clinical decisions
How does it work?
Get in touch to discuss your needs and we'll agree a format and frequency that works for you. Sessions last 60 minutes and are delivered remotely.
There is no fixed agenda - you bring whatever is on your mind clinically, and the session is guided by your experiences, challenges, and reflections. The facilitator provides a structured, confidential space in which you can think openly and honestly about your work.
Sessions can be booked as a one-off or arranged on an ongoing basis - monthly, fortnightly, or whatever frequency works best for you.
CPD and funding
Reflective practice sessions count as a recognised form of continuing professional development (CPD) across a range of healthcare professions. You can log sessions as CPD hours towards your professional development requirements, and for many regulated professions, reflective practice forms an explicit part of revalidation or appraisal.
Sessions can often be funded through organisational training budgets. It is worth discussing this with you manager or training lead, if you are working as part of team or service.
