Bridging the gap between behavioural science and clinical practice.

About us.

Exchange Health was founded after noticing a gap: healthcare practitioners are rarely taught the communication and behaviour change skills needed to actually improve patient outcomes. Clinical knowledge alone isn't enough - supporting someone to change their health behaviour takes a different, often overlooked, skill set. We set out to close that gap, using health psychology expertise to help practitioners build the confidence and capability to better support their patients to make meaningful, sustainable change.

What makes us different is who's behind the training. Every course is designed and delivered by a HCPC-registered Chartered Health Psychologist with current, ongoing clinical practice - so everything we teach is shaped by real experience of working with patients, not just theory. Our training is evidence-based, psychology-led, and grounded in real-world application: practical strategies you can take straight back into your practice and use from day one.

Meet the Founder.

Dr Lauren Rockliffe

Hi, I'm Dr Lauren Rockliffe, a HCPC-registered, Chartered Health Psychologist and founder of Exchange Health.

I spent the early part of my career working in academia, researching women's health and completing a PhD in Health Psychology. It was during this time that I discovered a passion for teaching and training, going on to earn a Teaching Fellowship. Since then, I've worked clinically primarily in weight management services, supporting patients across both public and private healthcare settings to make lasting changes to their health.

It was this clinical work that led me to found Exchange Health. Time and again, I saw skilled, dedicated practitioners who knew exactly what their patients needed to do, but weren't given the training to actually help them do it - the confidence, the skills, the psychological know-how. Exchange Health exists to fill that gap, bringing together my clinical experience, health psychology expertise, and teaching background into training that's never just theory - it's shaped by the conversations I have with patients every day.
